Self-esteem

Question:

 Dear Justin.    No matter how hard I try, I cannot seem to ever feel good about myself.   I always think that everyone feels so good about themselves and I do not.    What advice would you have?

Answer:

 The first thing I would urge you to consider is an often-used quote:  “Don’t judge others’ insides by their outsides.”  In other words, do not assume that becuase others lives look better than yours does on the outside, that they feel correspondingly good on the inside.  Think of all the celebrities that are rich and famous, and seem to ”have it all” that get heavily into drugs and sometimes turn to suicide.  Improving our lives on the outside will not help our deeper issues, including self-esteem.  

 More importantly though how do you improve your self-esteem?  How can you increasingly get up every day and feel good about yourself and feel that you are worthy with a lot to offer?  Here are  a few suggestions:
